We understand that cancelling or curtailing your holiday can be distressing enough. That’s why we are on hand to make the whole process as stress free as possible. Help is only a phone call away. In the event that you need to make a claim please follow the procedure outlined below and have your policy number (SUA/CC) to hand. You must give written notice to Schofields Underwriting Agencies, Holiday Homes Division as soon as is practicable but in any event within 30 days FIRST, either by telephone on 01204 365080 (between 10 am and 5 pm Monday to Friday), give brief details of your claim and ask for a claim form - OR write to Schofields Underwriting Agencies, Holiday Homes Division, Trinity House, 7 Institute Street, Bolton, BL1 1PZ. Fill in the claim form and return it with all the certificates, accounts, receipts, information and evidence required by the Underwriters. Always send originals and not photocopies. You must pay any costs involved in providing these documents. Please do not send any documents until you send in your claim form. Proof you must provide. If you cancel the trip
Please give the reason for cancelling the trip and send us your booking invoice or receipt and your cancellation invoice. We will need written proof of the reason for cancellation. If cancellation is due to illness or injury, a Doctor’s certificate will need to be filled in by the doctor of the person who was ill or injured. Cutting the trip short
Please give the reason you cut your trip short, confirming that you had to come home early. Before you return home early for medical reasons, you must get a doctor's certificate to confirm that this is necessary and that you are fit to travel. You must then send this with your claim form. Do not forget to take your certificate of insurance on holiday with you. |
